How To Volunteer

If you are interested in becoming a member of TPPT, either in the Central Texas area or in The Woodlands/Houston area, please do the following:

1.       Read the Requirements Page on our website.

2.      Call (512) 347-1984 for pre-screening.  Pre-screening is done only by phone.     

3.   Make advanced reservations for the Qualifying and Training Class.             

Registration is required by phone and should be made at least two weeks before the next class. No “walk-ins” will be accepted at the class.  Class dates and registration are listed below.

Attendance at the Qualifying/Training Class with your pet is mandatory.
Maps to the locations of the classes are shown below.
 

Qualifying and Training Class:  Please bring the following to class:

1.     A copy of your pet’s medical records that we can keep.

2.     Registration fee of $20.00 – Cash or check only – We do not accept credit cards.

3.     Your dog on a 3-4 foot leash – no flexi-leads, choke chains or prong collars.

                             Please, DO NOT bring dog treats to class.

(Regrettably, we do not have staff available to hold training classes throughout Texas at this time. Check your local SPCA to see if there are established programs in your area.)
